PIATTO RESTAURANT AND GRILL “WIN A TRIP TO MAURITIUS” WITH BEACHCOMBER COMPETITION
 
  1.  The competition is open to all residents of South Africa who are aged 18 years or older.
  2. The Promoter is PIATTO Restaurant and Grill and Beachcomber.
  3. Excluded from entering this competition are  Piatto and Beachcomber employees, directors, members, consultants and partners of the advertising agency or agents of the promoter, and their spouses, life partners, immediate family, business partners or associates. 
  4. There is one Grand Prize to be won – a Trip to Mauricia Beachcomber resort in Mauritius for 6 nights – flights, meals and beverages included. 
  5. The competition runs from 1 November 2022 to  28th February 2023
  6. To enter participants must spend over R400 at any of the Piatto stores and participants must then complete their entry via the QR code provided by the waiter.
  7. Every valid entry will be entered into a lucky draw to win the Grand Prize.
  8. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for its cash value.
  9. Eight finalist will be randomly selected (using an automated system) and notified telephonically not later than the 15 March 2023. The finalist will consist of one finalist from each Piatto store-Eastgate, Alberton, Farrarmere, Mall of the South ,Kempton, Midrand, Middelburg, Stoneridge.
  10. The finalist will all gather at a venue chosen closer to the time and one winner will be drawn then.
  11. The Grand Prize comprises:

  • Please see permitted luggage allowance per person / per vehicle under the “Transfers” section. Should additional luggage-type article or sporting equipment need to be transported it is essential that provision is made for these additional pieces of baggage. In certain instances larger vehicles or private transfers would need to be booked at the applicable supplement.

  • Amendments will be processed at a fee of R 250 per person per amendment.

  • Air Mauritius Travel Smart Program 
  • Package rates are based on the Air Mauritius Travel Smart Program. Post ticket issuance, no name changes or re-routings are permitted. Once air tickets are issued 45 – 100% cancellation fees apply together with applicable administration fees. Re-booking of dates is permitted after ticket issuance at a charge provided the specified class is available. If the specified class is not available the air ticket may be upgraded to a higher fare and the applicable amendment fee will be charged. Payments for airfare/s as well as a completed booking form listing each passenger’s passport name must be received by the stipulated deadline. Failure to receive payment and a completed booking form by the stipulated deadline will result in re-pricing of the airfares or auto cancellation of the flight booking. Should either occur, Beachcomber Tours cannot be held liable for any increase in the package price or the non-availability of flights.
Important Information – Travel Documents:
 
  1.  Travel documentation: Please allow sufficient time for the application of passports, visas, unabridged birth certificates, letters of residency, vaccinations etc. 
  2. Travelling with minors: The Immigration Act which came in to effect on 01 June 2015 stipulates ALL CHILDREN under the age of 18 years at time of emigration or immigration must travel with an unabridged birth certificate in addition to a valid passport and visa/s, if applicable. Furthermore, written consent and specific paperwork is required when a minor travels with one parent only and if any child/children are not the biological child/children of the adults who accompany them through a border post.   3. Visas: South African passport holders do not require visas or re-entry permits when travelling to Mauritius. 
  4. Passports: Each passenger travelling, irrespective of age, must have their own, valid passport. All passports must have two blank pages available at time of travel. 
  5. Foreign passport holders: If passengers are travelling on a foreign passport the applicable consulate and the South African Department of Home Affairs must be consulted for immigration/emigration requirements. 
  6. Foreign nationals with South African residency status: Foreign nationals with permanent residency status residing in South Africa are required to produce their ORIGINAL residency certificate at time of re-entry in to South Africa. 
  7. Dual passports: In accordance with the amendment Act 17 of 2004 to the South African Citizenship Act – the system of exemptions and letters of permission to make use of a foreign passport has been withdrawn. All South African citizens who hold a South African identity document and are in possession of a foreign passport must apply for a South African passport. Clients are permitted to hold dual citizenship or dual passports but are required to emigrate/immigrate a South African border post on their South African passport. Clients failing to adhere to the above will not be permitted to proceed through passport control on their outbound journey.
  8.   9. Beachcomber does not accept responsibility for clients travelling with incorrect or missing travel documentation.
 
Rate of Exchange / Conditions:
 
  • Rates are quoted in South African rand. Owing to the volatility of the rand, all rates quoted are to serve as an estimate and are an indication only. Beachcomber Tours reserves the right to adjust prices on bookings in accordance with increases as well as any seasonal adjustments and currency fluctuations and therefore all rates are only guaranteed once final payment is received. All efforts are made to advise clients of an impending increase however in certain instances there is no advance warning when an increase is beyond Beachcomber’s control.

Details
The trip will be scheduled for a date that is mutually acceptable to Beachcomber & the Winner. This will be between:
07 – 31 May, 01 – 21 Jun, 18 – 31 Jul and 27 Aug – 21 Sep 23
 
Block out 22 Jun – 18 Jul and 1 -26 Aug 
 

o All guests must be over the age of 18 and must have a passport which is valid for 6 months after travel

12. The pictures shown in the promotional materials are not an actual representation of the prize.

13. The winners will be contacted telephonically and be announced on the Piatto Facebook Page and Instagram page

14. The Promoter will make every reasonable attempt to contact the finalist. Should we be unable to contact the finalist within 7 days (within 7 days after the draw has been completed), we reserve the right to draw a new finalist. Should the finalist not arrive at the final draw they will not be eligible to win the grand prize.

15. By entering the competition and/or accepting the prizes winners hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless Beachcomber and the Piatto restaurant and grill against any actions, claims, liability for injury, loss, damage of any kind resulting from the competition and/or prize.

16. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. The promoter reserves the right to move or cancel the prize for whatever reason they see fit.

18. By entering this competition, you agree to give the Promoter and its group of companies (and third parties) permission to keep all material and information submitted as part of your entry, on electronic or hard copy databases and filing systems for the purpose of the above mentioned competition and by entering this competition, you agree to the Promoter transferring your data to our promotional partners to enable the awarding of the winning prize.

19. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by entering this competition all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

* As each insurance company offers different procedures to clients who were prevented from travelling due to border closures, clients must enquire with their insurance company as to what the policy or procedure is regarding re-booking their travel insurance policy for new travel dates.
